I recently partnered with some of my favorite vendors to throw "An Evening Together" on Valentine's Day. Heather + Haven Creative Co. planned this whole event and wow, was I super impressed! Three lucky couples spent an unforgettable and romantic evening getting pictures taken by Luisa's Secret Photography  After the photo shoot, they joined the party and enjoyed a champagne toast, live music, and dancing! It was a magical evening filled with love and laughter!

Ultimate Winter Wonderland Wedding

Alethea + Jason Real Wedding
Flying V Ranch, Decatur, TX
January 20, 2018

Not only did I get to witness my very talented friend, Alethea of Petals & Pastels get married, but it was also the first time where I got to see my dresses walk down the aisle! It was a pretty special moment and I loved every minute of it! Alethea had seven beautiful bridesmaids who all wore the Leighton skirt in Blue Harbor paired with their own white sweaters. January in Texas can be a little unpredictable with the weather and we were definitely nervous because there was rain in the forecast. However, nothing was keeping this gorgeous wedding from happening. The sky cleared and the ground dried and she had the most unbelievable outdoor ceremony at Flying V Ranch. Check out her gorgeous wedding details below!

Every Outfit You'll Need After You Get Engaged

From the moment you get engaged, it’s all parties, dinners, brunches, soirees, and showing off the ring. So, we’ve put together some outfit ideas and tips to help you plan ahead for these great events leading up to the most important of them all.

Engagement Party

The engagement party is all about sharing the news with your loved ones, and though they’re going to be asking to see the ring foremost, as a bride-to-be, you want to start owning the spotlight.

The Ainsley skirt in Gold Sequin

Pair a sparkly midi skirt with a simple, solid color top to add some balance to your overall look. Accessorize it with some neutral colors and don’t forget a manicure to show that ring off!

The Vienna Skirt in Off-white paired with the Serena top in Blush

Or go for a romantic, daytime chic look in a lace mermaid skirt or a pencil skirt. Show it off with an off-the-shoulder top, and get ready to talk all about the proposal!

The Bachelorette Party

For your bachelorette party, you want to have fun and feel confident and sexy before it’s time to tie the knot. So, allow yourself to stand out and have fun with your look!

The Joelle skirt in Rose Gold Sequin

Pair a chic and fun skirt with a solid top you can tuck inside the skirt, and show a little skin on your shoulders. If you plan to have a nighttime Bachelorette party, pair the skirt with a darker and fitted top; like a long sleeve black crop top. Accent it with some nude stilettos and pearl accessories.

The Sloane Dress in Charcoal Sequin

Or dazzle the night in an all sequin short dress! A shorter length will make it easier for dancing and move around if a night out is in your plans.

The Bridal Shower

For the bridal shower, a smaller and family oriented affair, you may want to portray a more classic and romantic look. Take your millennial pink and flowy pieces out, and create a soft and dainty look. Make your soon-to-be bridal glow and gleam!

The Keaton Midi skirt in English Rose and the Evie top in Black

For this occasion, we pulled out a pink flowy midi skirt paired with a soft chiffon v-neck top. Wear it with a fun stiletto heel and your favorite gold accessories.

The Seraphina dress in Rose Quartz

Not feeling like putting two separate pieces together? Just slip into your prettiest ruffle dress, and take everyone’s breath away!

Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner is the build-up moment for your Big Day. Traditionally, the bride wears all white for this dinner event, as she is, of course, the bride. Yet, it’s also your opportunity to wear separate pieces, short dresses, fitted silhouettes and little hints of color!

The Zenia top in Off-white paired with the Leighton maxi skirt in Ivory

Steal the night in an all-white pre-bridal look with a long white skirt and a lace top. And if you want to take away the seriousness of the look, add colorful shoes and fun accessories that show your own personality.

The Evie top in Off-white paired with the Audriana midi skirt in Off-white

Or leave the dreamy tulle for the big day go for a midi length skirt and a light v-neck chiffon top in white.

Post-wedding Brunch

The post-wedding brunch is all about finally relaxing! All that hard work and planning leading up to the big day has paid off, now it’s time to sit back, relax and reminisce about everything that went down during the wedding day.

The Serena top in Platinum

Lay back in an off-the-shoulder breezy shirt and a solid flirty, skater skirt. Add a touch of blush to your accessories, shoes or lips.

The Keaton Short Skirt in English Rose paired with the Anisten Reversible top in Off-white

Or throw in a flowy knee skirt with a flowy chiffon top and call it a day! Pair it with some flats or comfortable wedges and you’ll look relaxed but also poised and put together.

Once you’re engaged and planning your wedding, everything tends to go extremely fast, and it could become a bit overwhelming. By planning out your outfits and having all of your pieces together, you can save yourself a lot of unnecessary stress and be on time for all of your affairs.

The Best Bachelorette Party Destinations in Dallas

Your bachelorette party has the potential to be the best party you've ever been to, especially when you're planning it in Dallas. There are so many different options to consider adding to your itinerary. The best part is completely customizing your itinerary to your specific interests...it pretty much guarantees that the night will be memorable for all of the right reasons. Here are four popular Dallas bachelorette party destinations to consider checking out along the way!

Bachelorette Party Ideas

Painting with a Twist

5202 W Lovers Lane, Dallas, TX

Sipping on wine and painting with friends is a great idea for the laid back bachelorette group. If you're not artistically gifted, don't worry, as the instructor guides you through each step. If you want to have a private party here, you'll need anywhere from 8 to 12 people and a credit card to make your reservation. You'll get to choose your painting if you decide to go this route.

Bachelorette Party Ideas

3 Eleven Kitchen & Cocktails

311 N Market St, Dallas, TX

This is a new spot in the West End Historic District. It has an inviting vintage atmosphere, and they have rooms available for those who want to host a party here. The fresh ingredients shine through in both the food and cocktail choices at this establishment. Plus, the downtown location makes it a perfect stop in your bar hopping!

Bachelorette Party Ideas

Escape This

4372 Spring Valley Rd, Farmers Branch, TX

This immersive escape room experience is perfect for bachelorette parties. There are different themes to choose from like the Heist, Pathogen, Epicurean, and Society. There are varying difficulty levels in each option, so you can customize how much of a challenge it is. The staff is very accommodating for parties as well.

Bachelorette Party Ideas

Dallas School of Burlesque

2924 Main St, Dallas, TX

A lot of fun can be had here at the Dallas School of Burlesque, especially for a group of adventurous ladies! They offer burlesque parties and pole dance parties that includes two hours of time with a talented instructor, and both are under $500. All skill levels are welcome here, so don't be shy.

Bachelorette Party Ideas

Remember, if you plan on drinking, you'll have to organize a method of safe transportation. There's a better option than ordering a new ride share service every time you want to go to a new destination, and that's reserving luxury transportation like a party bus or limousine. These types of vehicles offer more room and features than a standard sedan. Plus, chauffeurs are familiar with bachelorette parties, and they can offer up more suggestions if you're drawing a blank. Why this Photo Shoot with Luisa's Secret is My Favorite

The recent photoshoot with Luisa’s Secret has been one of my favorite ones to date! Not only was I able to see my vision come to life, but I was lucky enough to experience the endless, upbeat energy between Luisa and Douglas that inspired the models to take such beautiful photos. There are so many amazing things that came together to make this shoot happen!!

Tulle Bridesmaid Dresses

For one, working with Luisa and Douglas was a dream! I had been Instagram stalking them for awhile and decided to reach out to them randomly. I was so excited when they said yes! They are so captivating to watch while they work. They each have their own camera and they move around individually, yet together as if in an unspoken choreographed dance. They are both beautiful people, inside and out, just building their dream career and helping lift up people like me in the process. Oh! And they brought their own glitter!!

Sequin Bridesmaid Dresses

The models are actually fellow Alpha Xi Delta sisters from Texas Tech. While in college, I was reluctant to rush a sorority, but I went through the process because I believe in trying everything at least once. Little did I know that I would be making a lifelong relationship with thousands and thousands of AXiDs across the nation! It is so fun having my sorority sisters be a part of this journey and I love hearing them daydream over their “real wedding” one day.

Tulle Bridesmaid DressTulle Bridesmaid Dress

The day before this shoot, I was attending the Swoon Event at Jefferson Tower. My booth was next to Katie Bug Florals who designs absolutely stunning arrangements. She was headed out of town and was going to throw out her flowers from the show. Oh, the tragedy! I asked if I could take them for my photoshoot, and she said yes! I love when things just come together naturally.

Bridesmaid Separates

Finally, the story behind the venue. When I started planning my first photo shoot a year ago, I had no clue where to go. So I reached out to my high school alumni office to see if I could use their studio space (I went to an artsy school). They referred me to some fellow high school alumnae that are Dallas photographers and have a studio for rent. That’s why you’ll often see me shooting at the Lumen Room.

Sequin Bridesmaid Dresses

So many personal connections made this shoot happen and I am overjoyed with the outcome. It’s amazing that I can grow my own business while still supporting the local community. I hope you’ve enjoyed learning more about my favorite shoot! Be sure to check out all of the vendors that made it possible.

How to Wear This Midi Skirt 5 Ways

Last weekend I attended a friend's wedding at the Flying V Ranch in Decatur, TX (can't wait to share those photos!). I have been so busy attending bridal shows and organizing photo shoots that I didn't plan my outfit for the evening. I know we've all been there! So I did what any designer would do and rummaged through my sample inventory. I ended up wearing the Keaton Midi skirt with a black body suit from my closet. This pretty much sums up why I love bridesmaid separates - they are just so easy to re-style after the wedding! Read on to see more ways to re-style the Keaton Midi skirt.

Look 1: Bridal Party

Keaton Midi Skirt

The Keaton midi skirt looks great with any of our tops in lace, sequin or chiffon. I especially love pairing it with the Kendall sequin top in Claret for the maid of honor. For a more romantic look, try the Calais lace top in Blush. Photos by Jami Clayman.

Look 2: Pair it with a button down shirt

A denim shirt is one of those classic pieces you must own which means you probably already have one in your closet! Pair it with the Keaton midi skirt for a causal vibe. Photos by Kristianna Davied.

Look 3: Tuck in a sweater

Keaton Midi Skirt

Need an easy autumn outfit? Wear your midi skirt with a casual sweater and tuck it in to make the look more polished. Finish it off with cut out heels, a suede tote and cute fall hat! Photos by Kristianna Davied.

Look 4:  Get dressed up!

Add accessories like some killer heels and some statement jewelry from Accessory Concierge for a more dressed up look. Photos by Madison Kaitlyn Photography.

Look 5: When in doubt, wear black.

For starry nights, wear a black bell sleeve sweater with a midi skirt and add some moon and star accessories. A tucked in light sweater is a great way to make this appropriate for fall weather. Photos by Kristianna Davied.

A convertible bridesmaid dress is one of the easiest ways to achieve an alternative look to the old "matchy matchy" bridal party. Introducing the Tenley infinity dress which features two separate sashes and hidden loops to create a variety of styles. Each bridesmaid can buy the same dress in matching colors. Then on the wedding day they can personalize their look while still maintaining a cohesive look.

Mastering this dress may seem intimidating, but trust us: it's super simple. Transform from a strapless to a one-shoulder to a halter using our separate sash and hidden loops inside the bodice. We're featuring 6 of our favorite ways to tie below (brooch not included). For more styling ideas, check out our How to Style the Teagan Infinity Dress

Amanda's Bridal Party

I absolutely love Love Tanya! I used the try on at home program and it was amazing. Three dresses were delivered right to my door with a measuring tape, swatches of all of the different color choices, and an ordering guide. All of the dresses were beautiful quality and it was so hard to choose which one I wanted to use for my wedding. I eventually decided on the Amelie dress in a deep navy. The dresses arrived to all of my bridesmaids in a timely manner and they are even more beautiful than I could have imagined. I cannot wait to see all of my girls in them on my wedding day!

How to Wear a Tulle Skirt 5 Ways

One of my favorite things to do is show you how to re-style my bridesmaid separates for after the wedding. It's all about finding creative ways to use the items you already have in your closet. Today's featured piece is the Margot tulle skirt. Who doesn't love a fluffy tulle skirt? First, let's look at the two ways you can incorporate the Margot skirt into your wedding. Then I'll show you how to restyle them for a fun fall look!

Look 1: Bridal Shower

Bridal Shower Outfit

You've probably been busy shopping for a wedding dress, but don't forget about all the other events that require special bride-to-be outfits! Whether it's your engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette or wedding rehearsal, all eyes (and cameras) will be on you. A tulle skirt is the most popular item to rock at these events because it's essentially an adult tutu, it's super girly and it will never go out of style. Pair it with our I DO tank and some pink sneakers for a fun and relaxed look!

Look 2: Bridal Party

Bridesmaid Separates

This is just one of many ways you can style your bridesmaids. You can pair any of our lace, sequin and chiffon tops with the Margot tulle skirt. Bridesmaid separates are an easy way to create a unique bridal party look, plus they are more likely to be worn again so you don't have to feel guilty for asking them to buy an outfit for your wedding.

Look 3: Ballerina Inspired

Ballerina Inspire Tulle Skirt Outfits

Bodysuit's are back and I love this one from TK Dallas. The sheer mesh details seem to pair perfectly with the Margot tulle skirt. Blogger Deana Mamlieva styled it with some cute pearl earrings from Accessory Concierge and her own sunnies. Photos by Madison Kaitlyn Photography.

Look 4: Daytime Date

Daytime Date Outfit Tulle Skirt

Daytime dates are so fun because you get to see your date in broad daylight, it usually involves good conversation and you get to wear a really cute outfit! Find a sweater with similar colors as the Margot tulle skirt and it will be a match made in heaven! Photos by Julia Sharapova.

Look 5: Over-sized Sweater

Fall Outfit Tulle Skirt

Pull out that over-sized sweater and booties for a fun and flirty fall look. Blogger Deana Mamlieva styled the Margot tulle skirt with her own sweater and booties and a matching scarf from Accessory Concierge. Photos by Madison Kaitlyn Photography.
